VR_Dogfighter Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I spend a lot of flight time on the EU server and whilst there's some awesome game play, I've also noticed some strange things happening and wondered if anyone else has seen the same and/ or can explain please. The first is seeing enemy planes dart about in the sky as if they're in fast forward. Almost erratic behaviour. Is this a lag/ Connection issue for the player concerned as it seems to be specific to them only? Another thing I've had several times is my PC lock up and crash just as I get a particular enemy in my sight and about to shoot. Last evening it happened twice, but only when right on the six of the same opponent. I'm not sure if there's general technical reasons these are happening or some sort of elaborate cheats in action?

Well, the whole fastforwarding through the air thing is almost always a high ping/bad connection issue. I've seen people fly backwards through the air when my own ping was bad. I think we can chalk that up to internet issues. So your entire PC crashes, or you're just kicked from the server? Because I've heard where people get kicked from the server because their connection is poor, and it happens when they shoot or drop bombs because the explosions cause a lot of information to be sent over a poor connection. Then they get booted from the server. It seems extremely unlikely that someone has implemented a cheat that, when someone is on their six, their entire PC locks up. It could just be coincidence. The game is pretty resource intensive and a swirling multiplayer dogfight will push a lot of machines to a limit. 1
