Teamchat doesn't work

As the title says, my teamchat doesn't work in multiplayer, if i press RCTRL+ENTER i still type to all....

I also tried te rebind to different buttons but still no succes. 

 

anyone here with same issues and/or maybe have a solution?

Question: Do you use RCTRL+ENTER to open the Dialog or to send the message? Because you need to press CTRL+ENTER on send, not on opening the dialog. Common mistake, not very intuitive system at work.

Yeah. Unfortunately they have designed the chat system the straight opposite way of every other chat system in any game ever. No idea why, but they stubbornly stick to, and even though there are keybinds to rebind in the controls menu, rebinding them doesn't do diddly squat. It's still the same.

 

People have been telling them for years to make team chat the default (Enter), and all chat the combo-key (Ctrl-Enter), as well as improving the text retention/delay, make chat history visible on the map like when not in a plane, and so on, and so on. Doesn't happen.

yep tell me about it..I even Made up this to copy and paste into chat as it happens soo often... (ENTER >> Msg Here >> CTRL ENTER)

Maybe we need game tips on load screen and this could be one.

Yup. The rebinds don't work at all.  Raised the issue myself.  Nothing:

Did you also Alt+F4 to get extra boost?

Tbh it took me all of 4 secs to work it out. It is quite clear due to the colour change.

I'm always amazed to see that in the years 2000+ that joke still works sometimes.

Always funny when the guy connects back saying "uuuuh doesn't work, that made my game crash !"

It is far more natural to use Enter than Control Enter for Team Chat . Most messages are generally destined for the team. It is not a matter of figuring out which is which so much as smart ergonomics.  From a coding standpoint it is trivial to reverse the two default key binds.  Even if that isn't desirable for backwards compatibility reasons the fact is that the ability of users to re-bind the keys to reverse them Doesnt work properly.
