TIR 5 stopped working :-(

After giving a few hints that something was not ok with it, and also after the last win 10 update which brought my system to  Version 1709 Build 16299.522, the device completely quited working, although it shows correctly in the Device Manager.

 

I uninstalled and wipped the drivers, re-installed, changed USB ports, erased registry entries, everything to no avail.  The software 5.4.2 runs ok, show the green Status led in the interface ( botton right ), but the camera status led never lights, and there aren't any green leds on the camera.

 

Any suggestions ?

I had the same issue, but reinstalling the tir5 software fixed it.

there's at least one recent thread at the Naturalpoint Forum reporting that same quirk...

I had the same issue, after reisntal of natural point soft it worked as before.

Thx guys for your posts / info.

 

I emailed NaturalPoint support and they asked for additional info which I sent today.

 

When / if a solution is found I'll report it here ;-)

 

But I'm getting mentally prepared to start using my good-old coolie-hat switch :-)
