Anyone else here claim to have had a WW1 airfield on their property ?

Well, the Sopwith factory was only a mile or so from where I'm currently living, though sad to say I don't own the land it was on (if I did, I could probably afford to buy a replica Camel :biggrin:).

Oh well if we're trying to out Sopwith one another, an acquaintance of mine has Thomas Sopwiths bed , a pink, stuffed, shell like affair.

     Being from one of the southern former colonies, I would like to ask "if'n you'll still lives in the "Big House" ?

No, we don't have the farm house, although it's still in the family, we sold it to my wife's cousin a couple of years back. The farm and land we rent out to another cousin, a dairy farmer.  ( that's Catholics for you, as thick as thieves) :biggrin:
