AndyJWest Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 (edited) After the earlier mishap with the Pup (see here) Kermit has a bit more luck with a Snipe that apparently hasn't been flown for five years. Reluctant to start, but once it was going (and pointed in the right direction: can't do left turns taxiing apparently) looked very much at home in the air. To my mind, the Snipe is the prettiest of the Sopwith scouts. Shame it saw so little wartime service, which makes it a long shot to ever appear in Flying Circus. Edited July 6, 2018 by AndyJWest 2
unreasonable Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Nice film - I always thought the Snipe looks a bit bloated myself. One thing that film does bring to mind is that I hope that FC gets some work on the sound compared to RoF, which to my ear is rather bland.
Trooper117 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Always liked the Snipe and would love to see it done in FC... I would probably buy it for that reason alone

Amen. More than updated graphics the sound design could use some love. I think the last DD actually showed, that RoF holds up rather well in the looks department.
AndyJWest Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 More Snipe video from Kermit. This time featuring on-board Go-Pro shots. I noticed he applies 'wrong direction' aileron while taxi-turning. Presumably the increased drag from the down-going aileron helps the turn.
