klebor Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 I have noticed many soviet fighters are able to mount RPK-10 receiver as a modification. Were this devices used by air defence fighters only or frontline fighters also? Where was an antena for the receiver located? I don't see any additional antena on 3D model when using RPK-10, did it use some existing antena?
-=PHX=-SuperEtendard Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I think the antenna (at least in the Yak-1 series 69) is located behind the pilot seat, you can see it through the little cutaway windows behind the sliding canopy, from the aircraft's side.
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 28, 2018 1CGS Posted July 28, 2018 There seems to be a bug with the rendering of the antenna loop on the Yak-1 S.69: appearing when it's not installed and vice versa. I've reported it to the devs.

I asked one of the devs, and he told me that while the Yak-1 S69 had the loop antenna behind the seat, the other planes (Yak-1B, Yak-7B, La-5, La-5FN, Il-2 M43) had it positioned underneath the tail, inside the fuselage. So, that's why you don't see it. 2
