My TrackIR profile has "+" button on my numpad assign to center the view ... but I also noticed that whenever I press "5", it does centering as well?! I realized that after I assigned "5/8" to my prop pitch. I looked all over the place and I can't find where is TrackIR picking up that "5" from. Do you guys have an idea?

Second thing is, when in the plane my initial view is zoomed all the way forward and then I have to zoom out pretty much all the way back in order to get "normal" view. This is not much of an issue initially but during the flight when I zoom-in-out I can't use "reset" switch to go back to my prefered view as it always snaps to "zoom-all-in" position. Is there a way to set my preferred view somehow?

You have to set your preferred pilot head position in each plane, or just use the default. Start the plane you're wanting to use on the ground in the QMB (WITH TRACKIR OFF!) and then use the pilot head controls to set the pilot head position (including zoom) that you ideally want to start with. Once you have it just right, press F10 to save the head position.

Thanks RedKestrel, I'll give it a shot. To which IL2 menu option is F10 assigned to?

This is something out of the game's key setting. You have to delete something like 'Toggle pilot's head to center position' or 'Camera center position' Just look where the '5' is assigned as key.

5 on the numpad is bound to center the pilots view in game, you'll have to go into controls and remove it from the controls. I believe this is what you are asking. Should be under pilots head view or something. Or under camera view, not sure. You can always see if a key is bound to something else when in the keymapping menu by hovering over the orange square in the upper right corner of each input. If there is no square it is only bound to one command.

F10 is I believe called "Save pilot head position".

I assigned my “center” TrackIR key to one I will never use flight swimming. That is the Arrow Up key that’s usually the default for the pitch up key command I won’t use since I have a joystick.

Then I remap F10 to Alt+F10 so I won’t press it by accident.

Hey guys just to let you know that F10 solved my problem and I also mapped one of the joystick buttons to cockpit head snap position, so that's all good. Regards to "5" issue, I hovered over it and tooltip says that button is mapped to inpcam_rotate_gopro_yaw_center which I couldn't find anywhere in game key mappings. It also refers to GOPRO which I don't have nor I ever had.  Not sure what is this all about.
