I thought there must be... Anyone know how to rebind HMD axis?

If you mean, like in trackir that the vision zooms, when you lean forward with trackir-NO.Vr dont zoom when leaning or looking forward as it follows your moves realisticly, you can assign a vr zoom button if you whant zoom.

Yeah the Rift along with the Vive have full positional tracking.

Not sure how the Odyssey handles tracking. Maybe some other Odyssey owners will chime in.

I have full 6 dof with my rift. Now if only I could get a few more pixels!

to look closely at instruments etc. in vr, you have to use the zoom feature as the pilot's head is restricted as to how far it can move. (to stop you putting your head through the cockpit, I think)

You can shut this off in the options, think it's in camera and you disable "Limit vr view" Unfortunately it's a server side setting so you can't pick when playing online. The VR limit is really restrictive.

Yeah must be a odyssey inside out tracking thing.

when i lean forward the cockpit moves with me so i can never quite see round the edge of the IL-2 door.

Its not a huge problem but if anyone has found a workaround i would love to know

So fired the game up again today and the tracking is all working correctly... Hooray!

Thanks for your input people.

this is because of "Limit the VR view" has been enabled by the Server admin. The VR 'bubble' in which you can move in this instance is limited to 3 feet in diameter (it feels like). If you fire up a quick-mission or any 'normal' servers (mostly) and have disabled "limit vr view" in settings then you'll be able to lean in to dashboard, thru sides of the plane, thru cockpit, etc..

I hope that one day the bubbles get revisited and adjusted accordingly. The effect that the plane is moving is actually just what it looks like, what's actually happening is your head is moving back from the area you are colliding with, the plane isn't physically moving in the game. This gives the impression that the plane is moving away from you. If it was I could certainly pull off some very odd maneuvers by just ramming my head into the cockpit. I just really wish they'd at least touch up the forward leaning area as you can not really get on the gun sight as effectively as you can in singleplayer with the limiter off.

I don't really notice this in fighters any more. I'm used to it. But in bombers where there's a huge space around you it's very strange. As I see the bubble is the same size for all planes.

The 109 and 190 are actually much smaller, each one seems done on its own but they just aren't large enough. I can barely move my head in the 190, you hit your head on the glass at every turn. I even adjusted the seat when on 2d screen mode and it helped a bit but it's still really tight.

While we're on the topic, is there any way to turn off the annoying 'head hitting the glass' sound? I constantly think I'm being hit..

As of right now there is no way unless you disable the limiter.

Pick a Russky and no such issues:)

odyssey user here

6DOF works fine, UNLESS for some reason the headset has lost its positional tracking (happens occasionally if im playing in the dark or if some light sources in the room are overwhelmingly bright)
