The full Stalingrad map on high quality settings, using a mediocre computer

I don't have a state of the art computer, but I am getting pretty good frame rates, even when using the high quality settings. Here is a video of my sim flying thew LaGG-3 on the full Stalingrad map with high quality settings on. Note, my actual in game rame rates are actually higher than in the video, as my capture software accounts for some frame rate lose. While I am playing, I experience my frame rates as fairly fluid. if you notice a stop or freeze in the video, it is due to my capture software or the actual streaming of the video. My computer is a relatively mediocre Dell XPS quad duo, with a pretty good Nvidia GTX 660 Ti card, but my power supply may be a little on the weak side for my card, so I am not getting optimal performance out of my card. at the moment.

Thank you! Yes, the map is incredible! The team did a great job, just amazing. All of the details that go into each structure is very impressive.  :salute: MJ

Excellent flying and video!  It's nice to see they have the grain elevator.  I wonder if they have Doma Pavlova (Pavlov's House)?

Yep they do, Jaws2002 posted a map with the more famous city landmarks, but I don't remember where I saw it.

Excellent - nice to see that kind of attention to detail!

Nice video!

I recommend you download the Geforce Experience software and use Shadowplay to record your video.

Because your card supports Shadowplay you should find very little if any showdown when you're recording. It's all handled on the GPU. And it's free!

+1 to that Simon. Shadowplay works the treat.

what size psu do you have?  I have the same card and a 750 watt psu.  No problems here.

Hey Mike, I have a 1250 watt psu, I think. My plug has a tag that reads 10A 125V, so does that mean my plug is rated for up to 1250 Watts or that my psu is? I am not sure.   :salute: MJ

Gtx 660 min requirements is a good quality, not too old (components can degrade with time) 450W psu.

A quality 500W psu should have enough margin that you don't have to worry about it.

1250W is overkill even for GTX 770 SLI, it's unlikely that any system with a 660ti would be sold with a 1250W PSU, those things cost like 250-300USD.

It’s scary and sad to see what mankind is capable of whenever mad leaders get intoxicated by power and get the masses to follow their schemes of destruction, Germans was  “special people” according to their leader, and we are not out of that illusion worldwide yet, not by far!

Good movie by the way.

If you have 1250 watts you have way more than enough power!  The system I bought had  a350 watt psu as standard and I factory upgraded to 750 which I thought might be a bit of overkill but that upgrade was less than $50 and I figured it was money well spent for future upgrades.

Experience suggests that I don't meet the minimum standards for Shadowplay. Supposedly I need at least Windows 7 or 8, plus at least an Intel Core i3. I have Windows Vista and an Intel Core Duo.  :(

Sorry mate.

I assumed your CPU would have been stronger and I'm amazed anyone still uses Vista! ;)

Thanks for the heads up on Shadowplay. I did not know about it. Shadowplay is something I can look forward to in the future. I am just glad that I can play BOS, now.  :)
