[Ravcore Javelin] Control Surfaces not responding

I've bought a Ravcore Javelin (essentially a VKB Gladiator) to play IL-2 Sturmovik. However, I've run into problems regarding the control surfaces of any plane.

 

I am able to map all buttons on my joystick in IL-2, including X, Y axis and twist. The game registers all axes, yet I still can't control any of the surface controls of any plane, be it rudder, elevator or ailerons. This issue persists with all planes. 

 

I've tried:

- replugging the joystick before starting the game

-reverting to default settings

-recalibrating the joystick

-reinstalling the game

-disabling level flight in-game

 

Note that this joystick is purely plug-and-play, it does not include any drivers, only calibration is necessary. It is fully functional in any other game.

Hi,

 

if you are 100% sure that your controller works correctly in windows (calibration OK, responsiveness OK) and in other games,

you eventually could assign axis and buttons in IL-Sturmovik, so there is only one thing that comes up in my mind:

 

 

In your game I bet you still have mouse control activated - this is evil because you can configure you joystick as you like,

but you cannot us it as long as this is activated. So check this, I'm sure this is your issue.
