A loose idea for a collector plane in the future - FW 189 Uhu.

I have a loose idea for a collector plane.
I don't even try to suggest the developers they should build it right now, because they have limited amount of time and priorities. And lot of things to do in the nearest future.

FW189 Uhu.
1) With Po-2 recon missions like in RoF would have their place.
FW 189 was primarly a day recon plane.

2) What is more Po-2 was used in night missions.
To counter them 30 Fw 189A-1s were converted to nightfighters (and used as night attack planes also). They were assigned to I/NJG 100 and NJG 5. They were choosen due to extremally low wing loading and ability to fly with minimum speedes.

Modifications:
installation of FuG 212C-1 (Litchenstein) radar in cockpit (some received more modern FuG-214 radar)
installation of flame dampers to engine exhaust
installation of fixed MG 151 (20mm) cannon in rear gun position

Night modification would require modeling Radar so it is a feature possible in the future. Nevertheless it could be the first plane with implementation of radar.
When it comes to night flights only Po-2 will be valiable option. This is why Po-2 will be so great and unique.

3) FW 189 with it's design, outlook and flight characteristics would be unique and it would be a ton of fun to play. If we have Ju-52 why not Uhu in the feature. It was an important plane in the eastern front.

In this context we should also remember unique Po-2 had beed developed by 3rd party team Yugra Media when main team is working on more classic planes - fighters/attackers.

I stated this several times already and will do it again: The U-2 is not a reconnaissance aircraft!

With this out of the way, I think the Fw 189 is in fact of interest.
It's a quite maneuverable aircraft of sturdy construction featuring well laid out defensive armament. Its ingame success and playability though would depend on proper implementation of reconnaissance mechanics.
Regarding the Uhu night fighter modification: I think it's cool but not fitting the scenarios implemented or announced.

While the Uhu itself would be an exotic addition, I feel the IAR-38/39/39A would be even more exotic, adding one more non-German Axis aircraft.
It was used during the Stalingrad campaign mainly with reconnaissance units, but also a bomber unit. In addition it resembles the U-2 more closely than the Uhu does - nothing I care about, but others apparently do.
Not trying to hijack this tread, but presenting possibilities.

Given the many announced additions, I feel chances are slim for either aircraft right now.
After all, I'm mainly interested in an Asiatic-Pacific-Theatre follow-up, but would enjoy an Uhu or IAR-38/39 if it doesn't delay anything.

The collector plane for the „distant future“ immediately brought the F-104G to my mind...

:)  That would be a stellar addition...

I would love to see a bit more love for the recce aircraft: I expect some people would be surprised at just how many of them were in operation.
