Question: Proximity Triggers (in Group) to be linked automaticly to players plane (during import from file)?

Hi All,

If I "Import from file" my Group "German-Wingman-Messages-v01b.Group" into a campaign mission I have always to link all proximity triggers of the group to my players plane manually one by one.

Is possible to to design the group in a way that the proximity triggers are linked automatically to the player's plane?

Best regards

Thanks for your answer.

In my Situation the Players plane is in a PWCG campaign Mission and I want to modify the Mission by Importing data from a Group. The Group "German-Wingman-Messages-v01b.Group" contains only timers, subtitles and proximity triggers.

This works but after I have imported the Group I have to manually link the proximity Triggers with the Players plane.

Best regards

Next best thing...

Select all the objects/timers/etc that need to be linked to the player plane. Group those objects (as a sub group inside your main "German-Wingman-Messages-v01b.Group". Then, save your "German-Wingman-Messages-v01b.Group",  as a new name (vo1c maybe?). Re-import the newly named group. Go into the sub group where you have to link everything, and click "select all objects". This will select all the objects in your subgroup. Right click the index menu on the right, where your plane group is located. Then press ctrl-O and.... forget it. Too much to type. Just watch the video:

Went ahead and created another video showing you how easy it is, and I uploaded (just the German messages) your messages file with the subgroup I was speaking of.

Hi [TWB]Sketch,

THANKS VERY MUCH! This is a good idea and you can save much time when installing the Group.

I needed some time to understand  because I was not familar with Group functions but now I able to use it.

I will consider this procedure in my next release but first I will do some more tests.

Best regards
