It all looks rather confusing.

 

Someone wants to tell a story with dolls. Static dolls start to get animated. Dolls become real life persons.

It is about WWII and the dolls are also present in modern times.

What have I been watching?

 

And for me it is hard to take the main caracter seriously.

I will always identify Steve Carrell with his role in 'The 40 Years Old Virgin'.

I came across this guy's art a few years ago and was blown away by the detail.  Did not know his history.  Thanks for the heads up about the movie.
