FW 190 A-5/U17 and F-3 bomb racks

Having recently started a career over Kuban in a Slacht unit equipped with Focke Wulfs I am a little perplexed by the way the bomb racks are added with the various modifications. The three bomb modifications correctly add to the plane the ETC 501 rack for carrying them. Yet when selecting the U17 kit the ETC 501 is only added after you select one of the centerline bombs loadout, while the ETC 50 racks under the wings (wich were added as the F-3's R1 field modification) are installed by default. Concerning the fact that the team is also actually working on the A-8/F-8 for BoBp could we have a revised system in which by selecting the U17 modification the ETC 501 is the default rack installed with it is own load out option (not having to use the bomb modification) by which only selecting a full loadout (centerline and wings bombs) will make the ETC 50 racks installed under the wings?

So... I waited untill the A-8/F-8 was finally released to bring back this topic...

 

The F-8 (like thr previous F-3) suffer from having to mount the wing racks in the basic configuration instead of the centerline ETC 501 rack which was the default one.

 

I would ask the Dev team then if it is possible to have a revised system in which the Jabo modification of both the F-3 and the F-8 will give the centerline ETC 501 as the default rack installed while underwings racks will only be added with the appropriate loadout option.

Yep, removing racks for 50kg bombs would be nice.

 

F-3 and F-8 had them removed very often.

Mind that I don't want them "removed" but "replaced" with the centerline ETC 501 rack which was the default rack for Jabo variants (and was fairly common on fighters too for mounting the external fuel tank)

PS: F series isn't Jabo, its Schlachtflugzeug.

I know it is a Slachtflugzeug but I am so used to call them Jabo ?

 

Anyway, sorry for being a little pedantic, just wanted to give attention to ground attack planes that sometime are overshadowed by fighters 

 

PS: Talking about the F-8 loadout I noted that taking the panzerblitz block the cemterline loadouts, yet I see some photos from a SG unit mounting rockets racks and the centerline ETC 501. Do you know something about it?

I have never seen Panzerblitz rockets on such place.  Most times rockets under wings and SC 250/ AB 250 / droptank/ nothing  under centerline. 

 

Maybe some kind of test or field mod, no idea

Ah sorry, maybe I expressed myself badly:

 

In game you can only have the rockets under their own racks under the wings but no centerline mounted bomb. The option for the rockets goes away when you select the ETC501.

 

In the photo I saw they had both the rockets under the wings and the centerline rack for bombs and fuel.

 

Maybe mounting the rockets restricted the weight of the centerline bomb?

From what little testing I did yesterday, I could equip the rockets and either a 250 or 500 kg bomb on the centerline rack.

I tried it yesterday and it worked

 

Dont choose etc 501, just click F-8 mod and choose payload.

Not sure what is wrong here but when I choose the F-8 I only get three options for loadouts: 

 

-4 SC50

-2 SC250

-12 R-HL Pzbl.I

 

To take the centerline bombs I have to take the ETC501 options but as soon as I do the rockets disappear...

I fIy only F-3, but I will take a look when I come to my PC.

 

I will buy BoBp after it comes to Steam, so can't tell you my pilot experience with F-8 ordnance. ?

You have to choose as the rocket control panel and bomb control panel are installed in the same place.

I'm also in favor of this being changed.
Even most A-8 had the ETC 501 installed all the time. Having to attach it is the wrong way around. If at all, it should be removable.

Did anyone test the Panzerblitz rockets sofar?

I tried them a couple of times and I'm really struggeling to hit anything even with "Rocket hit indicator".

Is it just me, maybe a convergence error, even tho I tried it with diffrent convergences....

I'd like to hear your experiences so far.
