Just got the trip booked and set, for the first time going to Duxford in September with colleagues and friends. Can't wait to see all those planes and the whole show. How many others are going? Would be great to meet the faces behind the forum posts :) Anyways, eagerly waiting for this trip!

I'll be there - just up the road from me! Also going to Flying Legends next month :)

It'll be busy and we'll all be staring straight up, but if you see anyone looking like this:

Then say hello!

Top tip: best viewing is had on the right hand end of the flightline, on the embankment next to the Land Warfare Hall.

Isn't this all exciting!

Predictions : these two will not fly. They are on the programme every year and they always have some kind of issue.

If this fly I will be very surprised. Often promised, but I've never seen it.

There will be an issue involving a p51. Its traditional.

There will be precisely 1 (one) mad old man wandering around in a nazi uniform with the swastikas removed, pissing everyone off.

MH434 will steal the show. Again, tradition.

It's going to be bloody hot, so alternate your beer and water and for gods sake use sunscreen.

I'm pumped and I have been going to this since I was like 5!

i had a great dinner in the Hotel Du Vin& Bistro in Camebridge: snails, steak, creme brullet and some glasses of whine.

I am looking forward to the next days, and for the airshow: i will wear a white long arm shirt and a white hat - the weather forecast is Wow, sunny to saythe least .

Wow, you're going fancy! If you're at a loose end today you should check out the Zoological museum - just been reworked and is stunning!

great show, and the Curtis Fighters were in the Air.

The F-35 was amazingly loud ?

We realy missed the sound of a DB601/605.

Been there, saw it and heard it. For the first time.

I really enjoyed it and Im quite sure Ill be there next year as well. Nothing quite like it on this side of the channel and next similar thing is on the other side of the pond. Individual displays were great but seeing Balbo is a different thing:

Last time I was there was when the 109 Red 7 was there and DCS had a stand in one of the hangars. Not surprising as one of their mustangs is based on one at duxford that flies most shows and DCS works with the fighter collection. Don't know whether you could have two competing flight sims demonstrating in the same show.
