Trooper117 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I'm trying to install IL2 BoS again... however when I try to download the installer I keep getting 'blocked site' Anyone got any ideas how to solve this... or can send me the latest installer.
Fritz_X Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 (edited) Didn't you also suffer from problems with installing the latest update on your current install? I'm no technological mastermind, but I feel like getting the installer from somebody else is not going to solve your connection problem to the servers. Something is obviously blocking a proper connection to them. Did you change your router settings lately or did you install a new firmware for it? I feel like you should definitely have a look into your router settings (ports!). Edited June 19, 2018 by Fritz_X
BMA_West Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Download in my profile seems to work for me. Maybe purgin your browser history or trying an other browser?

If the site is blocked then the installer won't help you much I should think. Try to see if the site is listed somewhere in your browser as blocked, or if there is a way to turn off safety blocking like that. And see if you can find out the server address that is being blocked and see if it matches the Il-2 download server. it could be some kind of malware in your browser trying to re-direct you to a hostile site, and that's the server being blocked. Unlikely but worth a check.

Do you use chrome mate? If you are, make sure that you have the latest updated version of the browser and check the security settings. I personally stay a country mile away from Chrome these days. Edit: I'd check your antivirus firewall settings also just in case it has inadvertently blocked access. Edited June 19, 2018 by 6./ZG26_Custard
Trooper117 Posted June 19, 2018 Author Posted June 19, 2018 It's now telling me that the sky hub is blocking the site... I have no idea how that has happened... never had an issue before

Leaf Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I have no idea whether this would work, but it might be worth an attempt: download a VPN like Windscribe and try downloading the launcher via that? Windscribe just requires a sign-up at offers a 10GB monthly limit, so that's plenty.
