Use 4K skins with Career Mode

I can't use the Custom Skins in the career mode. I thought they had allowed this for BOK release. Am I wrong?

The game has a few 4K skins in the game at this moment. These can be used by going into your settings and activating 4K skins.

However, currently, they are only available for the IL-2 model 1943 late with AM-38F (BoK IL-2) and the A-20.

When 4K skins is turned on, they will simply replace the 2K skins. You don't really notice it is on until you look at the skins of those planes itself.

 

If you want to use custom 4K skins, you will have to turn on mods mode and add them yourself. You can find out more about this and how to use it in the Mods section.

Here's a direct link to a 4K skin mod for default and white skins.  These work within the Career Mode for the AI aircraft as well.  The German aircraft have the hakenkruez.  There is link in the post for historical markings for German aircraft in 2K that if used should be loaded first.
