TyphoonOneB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Trailer for a new video coming out in future, which will hopefully combine IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad and Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad to make an intense video with a storyline about the bloodiest battle in history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7DDZIemQVU&feature=youtu.be BTW How do you watch a video directly without just putting a link
TyphoonOneB Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Sorry everyone! DISREGEARD THE FIRST LINK! For some weird reason it uploaded as 360p not 1080p! So i've redone it and here it is: 1
MarcoRossolini Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Still processing ATM, looking forward to seeing it though.
Wolger Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I'm having a blast with RS and RO2. Immersive and additive gameplay@! Awesome video btw.

MarcoRossolini Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I've had some great times as commander in RS. Damn good fun. Just saw your vid, great stuff, make sure for continuity that you use only RO2 winter maps. The cuts into the tanks were totally believable. For Il-2 Sturmovik though I'd suggest getting either a better capture software (I use Open Broadcaster and it is perfect, zero FPS loss for good quality) or else lower your settings because the FPS is rather low ATM.
=69.GIAP=YSTREB Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 now include aerial view of stalingrad map will be sweet

So the cut to the tanks worked, yes! 2. Is it free? 3. Tell me about it, but the problem for FPS drop is mainly FRAPS so thanks for the advice. now include aerial view of stalingrad map will be sweet Yeah, I am making a new one as we speak, but this one was made juust before Stalingrad was released.
IIN8II Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Nice job so far Typhoon. It's a great idea to mix the two. I have been going over some concepts as well maybe even use a bit of arma as well. Look forward to seeing your finished work. Do you have an Nvidia card? If you do, shadowplay is free and has no impact on frames. Also there is a console command in RO2 that will enable a free cam in spectator mode. Could be a nice tool for you to use. (I cannot remember it off hand, but if you google it you should find it easily) Edited January 18, 2014 by IIN8II

I don't think I have an Nvidia card, I think I have AMD. I trailed with that for filming in this video but there is just waayy to much HUD and you can't get rid of it even with community mods which I use. I also hope to see more of your videos in future

TyphoonOneB Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Great Stuff...enjoyed that one! Stay tuned there's another one on the way
Blooddawn1942 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Nice Idea! I startet playing RO2 again since the Stalingrad map has been released last week to get in the full Stalingrad mood! It is so god damn immersive striking over the mamayev kurgan, Pavlovs House or the grain elevator in a low pass after having played, killed and died at those locations in RO2!!! In my imagination I get a distressed radiocall that some of our guys need immediate close air support because they pinned down by Ivan who is surpressing them from the grain elevators top floor. So I strike the top windows in several low and fast passes to supress them and give our troops the chance to advance! At the end its all in Your mind!!! 1

I know! It's just a great sense of immersion to see the bitter fighting on the ground and in the air!
MarcoRossolini Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 One beef I do have with the Stalingrad map is that there doesn't seem to be much of a Mamayev Kurgen, I mean the open area is there, but the height isn't...

Yeah. I was looking for it to include it in a video but there seems to be nothing there, not even foxholes, which would be pretty easy to implement
