THERION Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Hi friends from Russia Bravo! Your team did a very good job - well done and fair play. Congratulations. Cheerio 1 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 (edited) This really deserves an amazing DD However, tomorrow we see the tiki-taka in action. Edited June 14, 2018 by PA_Spartan-
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Good win to get things started, I'm excited for them. Tomorrow there's Portugal, but I'll have to wait until Sunday to see deary old Brazil in action.
AndyJWest Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Quote England players have taken a break from training to visit an orphanage outside Repino. "It's just heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope," said Dimitry, age 7 7 1
rolikiraly Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 It's a weak group and they had a great start, but i still don't think they will make it to the knockout stage.

Well, at least they managed to play good enough and to be qualified for the championship, didn't they? Others didn't succeed if I can remember correctly, but I don't remember which teams are missing... Oh wait, I got it - Hungary and Romania! Right? Oops, sorry, didn't want to ruin your day.

Hmm, you hit the post ?, Russia didn't have to play in the qualification, they are the hosts and thus automatically qualified. (BTW i'm not sure if they would qualify if they had to finish higher than either Portugal or Switzerland, see UEFA group B...). Romania missing won't exactly ruin my day, Hungary, well, we are used to it .
Rolling_Thunder Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 I think the current England set up have gone a long way to lay to rest the shambolic ghosts of the "gifted generation". Qualified for the second round with a game to spare. Have they really played anyone yet? Belgium will no doubt prove a much bigger test. Well done lads for leaving the egos at the door and concentration on the team.
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Russia vs Spain. Here we go again. May the best team win.
rolikiraly Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 The other game will bring some interesting moments. Godin vs CR7, Pepe vs Suarez. There is also a high chance of some Oscar-worthy performances .
MiloMorai Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I guess all the German fans are drowning in beer now, so can't post. There was hints of what would happen in pre Cup games.

MiloMorai Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 There are those that are in denial but what country got shut out of the Olympic? 1
DD_Arthur Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Oh I see....apologies for being slow witted but doping in those terms serves no purpose in football. 'Fraid most drugs tests failed by footballers revolve around wealthy young men and cocaine. 1

Whatever the case, FIFA and WADA, coordinating with McLaren and Rodchenko, actually did a thorough investigation into the Russian national team and found absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. They have a good bunch now, a healthy mix of experienced leaders and hardworking youngsters. I'm looking forward to Sunday.
PatCartier Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) France is playing a boring football but I hope we'll win against Argentina... Germany win in'14, France in '18 ! We are better than anyone but we can beat everyone...Allez les Bleus !!! Edited June 30, 2018 by PatCartier 1
PatCartier Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 On a wellknown melody : "Oh Messi Ciao ! Oh Messi Ciao ! Oh Messi Ciao Messi Ciao Messi Ciao - Ciao - Ciao !" 1 1
MiloMorai Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 France and Uruguay go thru. Ronaldo goes home!!! Kane has a chance at the Golden Boot.
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Two hours! Rusia vs Spain! The time has come to see your mettle. No more mistakes allowed!
MiloMorai Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Russia goes thru on PKs. Spain ~1100 passes and couldn't break down Russian defence tho came close a few times. Thumbs up Russia. 1 1
Uufflakke Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 A peculiar World Championship this year. Italy does not participate at all. Germany back home, Argentina back home, Spain back home. Tomorrow Brazil back home. Well... for one simple reason; to say goodbye to that pathetic cry baby Neymar. 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Croatia to the final. It a team playing a beautiful football, from a small and humble country which has never won a World Cup. 1
rolikiraly Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Well, Croatia is not playing beautiful football for most of this WC, but i'm supporting them as well. I hope they'll beat those lucky Russians 1
Uufflakke Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Okay, the match Brazil vs. Mexico just started. Will we see again a rollin' rollin' rollin' Neymar? 1 2
rolikiraly Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 This time he reminded me more of those writhing little bullhead catfishes caught on your angle.
MiloMorai Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 England on to the 1/4 Finals with a 4;3 win in the shoot out.

Uufflakke Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Goed gedaan Zuiderbuurtjes! (Well done southern neighbours!) 1
DD_Arthur Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 I know this is an ancient dead thread but I'm just sitting down to watch Borussia Dortmund v. Schalke right now.
