Gunsight not working

When the engine starts, I get the little 'gunsight on' message in technochat however it is not actually coming up in front of me.

 

I don't suppose anyone else has come across this?

 

I have tried the gunsight keys in the key mapper but to no avail.

can you post us one or two screen shots? I cannot imagine what you have described. Would help.

And btw. did you calibrate your monitor (brightness, contrast etc.)? How about you graphic settings in game?

Turns out pressing 'K' was switching the gunsight mode ?
