Something Interesting

Was playing a mission in my new career when this event occurred. I shot up a 109 and caught him on fire, usually the ai will bail out but this time he kept flying despite the fire. I guess the fire hit his ammo because as he was pulling up he exploded.

I've seen fires and explosions before but I've never seen them both at the same time and I never knew that the fire could spread to the ammo.

Also, sorry for the poor sound quality, the video editor I use seems to distort the sound a bit for some reason, not sure how to fix it.

I'm beginning to think flying on the eastern front is rather dangerous to ones health. ?

Almost didn't make it out of this one:

I'm surprised how long the P-40 lasted before the engine finally quit, took about 7 cannon rounds and a bunch of mg rounds.

They've got the FM spot on with this little bugger, eh? They were renowned for their endurance, the good ol' Warhawks/Kittyhawks/whateveryouwanttocallem!!!

ps When you're capturing the video, have you tried hitting F8? It'll lock onto the enemy aircraft, save you doing it manually.

Thanks for the tip didn't know that as possible. I was mostly trying to show all the hits to the P-40 but I'll definitely try the lock on thing next time.
