oho Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I fly full real normally (no symbols or padlock). Yesterday I chose Aircraft Symbol in the Game Options. Now I see my own plane (black) on the map, that's fine, but I also want to see other aircraft symbols (blue and red) on the in-game map to have a better orientation in certain missions. How can I switch them on, without seeing symbols in-game while flying in 3D.
MarderIV Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I think that setting might be slaved to both "Show UI" and unit markers or thereabouts. Haven't found a way to do what you're trying to describe. Only that turning on the UI with unit markers on will make them appear on the map as well. One workaround might be to enable unit markers and UI, then assigning both the Show Map key and Toggle UI key to the same button or key, then turning off the default Show UI. This will make it so that when you load into your plane; the UI will be first disabled. Adding the Show map and Toggle UI key to the same button will then allow you to bring up the map and turn on the UI at the same time, giving you the unit marker information only in the map screen. Pressing the same button will turn off the map as well as the UI, removing all unit markers from view.
