From my back balcony on the 7th floor I can see the planes from the start and in the final of the RWYs 10 and 28. A starting airliner from RWY 10 looks like this: Source: Forum Sturzkampfgeschwader 2 "Immelmann" Now, a WW II single-seated hunter is sure to be 60-70% smaller. I do not know if the visibility/detection in BOX is really as far from reality as many say. By the way, when Lufthansa's Aunt JU, the D-CDLH, completes her round-trip and cross-country flights with us, she flies directly over my house, at a height that I could shoot her with a slingshot.
