TheWarsimmer Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Anyone aware if it's possible to remove the radio chatter via the editor?
56RAF_Roblex Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 I am sure this has been asked before and the answer was no, at least so far as official methods. It is possible, using a mod, to change the language so maybe there is a mod to change it to silence. 1
Gambit21 Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 We need the ability to do this - I’ve written Han to ask about this. Radio chatter=0 in the campaign config file.

Radio chatter=0 in the campaign config file. I'll try it. And yes on the option in editor. Definitely. Glad you wrote him. On a side note, I used your setup for the air raid sirens where your used proximity triggers in a mission I'm designing today, and it worked flawlessly. Was having a hell of a time with it beforehand. Nice work. Using it for AA as well, and just subbed with check zone in that case. Edited June 5, 2018 by baylor703
Gambit21 Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Sorry Baylor - I meant that I suggested that config option. It doesn't at present exist. Glad you're making friends with the proximity trigger - it's a handy little MCU
TheWarsimmer Posted June 5, 2018 Author Posted June 5, 2018 Well that's a shame. They need both the option to disable it via config and the editor, for special cases where the mission may require it. It would be such a rarely used thing that it will most likely remain unaddressed, but let's see.
Gambit21 Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Well my problem is that I don’t want the native chatter stepping on my custom radio calls. 1
No_85_Gramps Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 (edited) I only way I know of to kill the radio is to go into the data/audio folder and rename the radio folder -radio. Of course it will re-set anytime a new update is released. I do not know if that causes a problem for custom radio calls. Edited June 5, 2018 by Gramps

Chatter as we are very well aware, should be left to those who are of such a station that they know unequivocally what to do with it. It cannot be left in the hands of the rabble- or worse yet, women. Don’t you agree? Edited June 5, 2018 by Gambit21 1
