Rectumancer Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sorry for making a new topic for this, but I've been battling the ridiclous registeration system, settings etc. for an hour and I want to get playing. So. How do I get full screen on? Marking the "fullscreen" box in settings does nothing, it's apparently just for show and for some ridiclous reason the software is unable to regonize alt+enter command. It's forcing me to play in a box and I'm not very keen on that. I swear, I was waiting to get playing this for ages but now I'm really close to just refunding the product on steam after an hour....
THERION Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 (edited) Hi, in your game directory you will find a cfg-file called startup.cfg. Open this file with the notepad and find the entry "fullscreen" in the text block [KEY = graphics]. Set it to fullscreen = 1, close the file and save it. This should set your game in full screen mode. Cheers P.S: Btw. patience (more than an hour) is a virtue that not everybody knows about nowadays... Edited June 2, 2018 by EAF_T_Therion
BroGrimm1tkcamp Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Also make sure you have the proper settings for your monitors aspect ratio and resolution.

Ok so this will sound silly on my part but want to ask to be sure. Are you talking about this game - IL-2 ? I only ask because alt-enter is the full screen for a different combat flight sim, and has to be used to get true full screen in that particular game as the checkbox does really not do it... I just want to make sure.

I really had fun with the game now, alltho I'm stil a total noob pilot. Maybe more forum searching tomorrow for beginner tips. ? I have a combat stick and throttle but I've mostly played space sims like elite before.
