Leaderboards

I hate leader boards as much as the next guy but it would be nice to have them in-game, it would give players and incentive to survive instead of just dying needlessly. The leader boards shouldn't be the standard type found in other games, they should have a board for each aircraft and should be wiped every-time the players dies (this way it represents a new pilot)

 

The leader board would track:

Aircraft Type

Kills in said aircraft

How many times the player has been shot down (only tracks when the player survives)

 

If the player is killed the leader board for the specific aircraft will be reset in order to simulate death and a new pilot taking over.

 

Something similar to the RoF career leader-boards would be nice but improved with the above additions.

 

The benefits of having leaderboards lie this is it would give players more of a reason to survive and fight smartly, instead of being suicidal like we currently see.

Nice, it would be nice though to see it as an official thing that way its across all or most servers.

The problem is that none of the servers are official. This really is a stupid thing in my eyes as we dont get consistency quality of MP servers but that is another pot of fish.

Could always just be an option to the server owner. It would encourage players to play smarter rather than throw their aircraft and life away plus it'd be nice to see which players are aces in each aircraft, etc.

Most servers have a stats page that shows the data you are asking for.

Not in the same way though. TAW only tracks total kills and deaths and it doesn't wipe it when you die. I'm looking for something for each individual aircraft and it only tracks your victories until you die, once you die you start all over at 0.

I like it how its now, every server decides what he wonts to have for their stats, more varaity its better not all players wont to play the same.

SoW and TWC servers in clod had/have what you explain you wont so when they come to Box they will probably have same here.

If all is official stats set by devs and same for all no mather of server it would be terible in my opinion.

They all tend to show your current streak for the current virtual life, but also have global stats for the campaign too

The WoL stats track your virtual lives.

Enforced registration, does kind of help to ensure that people at least read, or know where to find the rules.

No thanks.  I have to sign up for more things than I care to already in this day and age.

 

I have a choice, and given the choice, I'll just play somewhere else (that has many more players on during my play time as well).
