How much flak is too much flak?

...we're about to find out. 570 something 52k's firing at 1 x he 111 for a fun experiment. Results were 30 fps with dips down to 25 on a i7 7700k and GTX1080 playing at 3440x1440p on ULTRA. I guess I'll tone the test down a tad eh? At some point I was wondering how much is too much for my "Stalingrad Template" I'm polishing. As it sits now I have over 100 artillery pieces and AAA (granted they are spread out along the length of the whole city...plus fire and smoke effects, ground combat and river decorations, a staffel of stukas, and a partridge and a pear tree.

Simple... there is too much flak if I get struck by it. Nuff said. ?

The sky needs to be black, and the aircraft should be instantly vaporized.

This is what peak flak performance looks like:

...and it would be looking at that :hunter:

BUT

as there is no room for ammo supply it would only be black for a few seconds :) at an estimated rate of fire 15 to 20 rounds per minute and what looks like 7 rounds in the stack with one in the breech, I calculate 24 - 32 seconds...

Then there would be silence, apart from the sound of whatever was left of the target hitting the deck :)

BUT,

It's a game, not real life. So they can basically fire infinitely in CloD! ? Also, I think Bofors are some of the best close-in AA weapons, because they have such a (comparatively) high fire rate.

BTW, I like your PC setup. Do you see a significant performance drop (in normal missions) when you go up to the 3440x1440 resolution?

Thanks

I have 60 frames most of the time at 3440x1440 with dips down to 45 or 50 if I am on the ground and there is A LOT of planes and objects around me. My Dell is 60hz. I prefer pixel density to frames...don't really care for 100+ frames. I play almost all my games on ultra. Some games push my 1080 to 90-100% usage though.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I haven't upgraded from 1080p yet, cause I'm afraid my machine won't be able to handle it while maintaining acceptable fps.

My mistake I thought they were 88's :)

Yeah at 120 rounds per minute they'd be out of ammo in... about 4 seconds !!!

Just having some fun there Captain, just like you were, I didn't really think it was real, not even for as long as they could fire

It's 600 now, lol I won't be buying that anytime soon! I'll stick with my lowly 1080p until I can get a real job ?

Rodger that I know the pain lol. The only reason I built this new MEME MACHINE was because I sold off the last of my music gear. Health issues keep me from doing many things.

Lol I bought my rig back when I had money, now I've got to pay for my Instrument Rating training and flight fees. Just the FAA examiner fee for the checkride is $450. Nope, no new sim stuff for me!

Nice barrage! Now if you add the 10x script to make them fire 10 times faster you could drop it back to 57 guns for the same effect....or....simulate 5700! ?
