What kind of mission where the usual ones in real life in the russian front apart from what we already have?

Would be nice to have patrols, scramble from an airfield to incoming attack, attack airfields (do we already have it?, I have not seen it yet).

I would like to fly Ju-52 with at least the original missions.

Right now its not very Interesting.

Later in Campaing:

There should be option for 13mm MG.

And two more gunner positions.

I would like to see those as well. Scrambles in particularly would be great fun. Airfield attacks, given the accuracy of the flak, seem like they would be appropriately suicidal...anyone playing Iron Man would be sweating bullets for sure!

As long as you attack together with your flight, airfield attacks are pretty easy, even with hard difficulty, but don't attack alone in hard difficulty. I already had several of them, and they are the ground attack missions with the most fun.

Yes, those are absolutely missing.

Yeaa patrols where you rarely see enemies :} I know some people wouldn't want that and call it waste of time. But this should be as options to have chance of non combat missions. So you never know if enemy Will be there or not. Now you just know, every mission will be bunch of action ?

Not in every mission. I had 'protect ground troops' missions and one 'intercept ground attack aircrafts' mission, with endless circling and then RTB, to see in the AAR, that the target was attacked after we turned back home. I would prefer flying a patrol along the frontline or into enemy territory. And BTW, the enemy could patrol along the frontline as well. And a patrol into enemy territory could force enemy fighters to a  scramble takeoff or you might meet bombers or ground attack aircrafts on their way to their target or back to their base.

From my experience it's a bug. It was always happening during ground cover missions or interception of ground attackers (more less same thing). Enemy was simply attacking wrong targets on their way and never get to you. And of course mission failed because you or your squadron did not shot anyone.

But the funny thing is, in the new career mode your mission is acomplished, as the attack was after you ended your job.

Yep I have had several career missions that ended up accomplished, and we never saw any enemy aircraft.

OK, I have to correct myself, as I was just flying an airfield attack with an A5, and was brought down on my final approach to the target. No, not by AAA, by my fu**ing squadmate, that can't stay behind the aircraft, flying in front of him. I really don't know, what is so difficult to program AI, to not ram a squadmate. Enemy AIs always know where I am and what I do, why not friendly AI? I was able to stay behind the AI in front of me as well. But AI is so target fixated, that they simply forget everything around them.

Some of my most enjoyable missions have always been under the frantic panic of trying to get airborne while enemy aircraft are literally on top of your airfield in a surprise attack with sirens screaming at you. Why did they miss this? Yes, it would be hard, but I like to experience the difficulty in respect to the REAL MEN of the time. It`s also rather exciting.

lol I cannot say I've been rammed by friendly AI yet.

I have been. Flying a Ju88 and after bomb drop the flight lead goes int a left or right hand downward turn wihch rps the entire formation apart. A wingman clpped my wing and down we went.

Another fun thing are bomber gunnerd that keep shooting at enemy fighters and don't let minor details of inerposed wingmen stop them! I have lost morevsquadron mates by 'friendly' fire then enemy guns. Got a reprimant myself when my belly gunner unloaded pointblanc in another Ju88.

But  I like how the bombers start weaving and bobing up and down when under attack. Had one mission where 8 fighters attacked us and our escort was already busy.

I can't really play career for serious now ;D The game breaking for me is when ground attackers drop all bombs and then fly around doing i dont even know what. Probably try to shoot with guns at whatever left. It would be ok but when enemy fighters come and they keep shooting at trucks, then start dogfighting with superior fighters and all die... it's just sad. Until devs fix it and make ground attackers drop bombs and leave, especially if enemy got fighters there, then i don't find it fun to play as ground attacker.

Or the other way round. You are to attack a truck convoy, but after destroying one or two BA-64 and the AA gun mounted on one truck, they RTB and let the convoy travel its way, however no more AA defense or fighters around. Yep no more ground attacking, and it would be so much fun.
