5./StG.1_DLMalloy Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Hello there, fellow pilots, being in the market for a vr headset/set-up, with limited funds, I have found myself looking windows mixed realality. More specificaly, a Lenovo Explorer. I am just asking for a second opinion: Will it work? Kind regards, KG5.
HunDread Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Yes WMR devices work. I don't have one but based on what I see here on the forums the Samsung Odyssey seems to be the best choice among WMR if you can get your hands on one. 1
5./StG.1_DLMalloy Posted May 31, 2018 Author Posted May 31, 2018 Black_Sab, Thank you. I will be sure to look into this. Kind regards, KG5
Phantom-103 Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 As the 2nd gen of VR Headsets make their way to the market you could wait a bit and pickup a used 1st gen fairly cheap.Once you experience VR it's hard going back to 2D.Best of Luck to you. ☺️ 1
5280magpie Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I tried the H.P. and the Odyssey but settled on the Explorer. Good field of view, but doesn't make my eyes as tired as the odyssey did. The Image is about as good as my pimax 4k. 1
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Sounds like you were just tired. No issues with the Odyssey here. Might have been tied to the supersampling slider in SteamVR that needs to be adjusted correctly on each headset (including the Odyssey). 1
