Hi

I'm about to install windows 10 on PC. Can anyone tell me which files do I have to save from BOS/BOM/BOk (for joystick, paddle, throttle config) on windows 7 before reinstalling BOS/BOM/BOk on windows 10.

In windows 10 where do I have to install the game?  I will not use Steam. I will dowload the game again from the site Il2.

Thanks in advance for answers.

You can install the game wherever you like.

I suggest installing outside of the program files folder, which usually comes up as default.

For instance on mine, I have installed to my second SSD - my E: drive, which is where I install most of my games.

Had I elected to install to my C drive, I would have installed to like C:/1C Game Studios/.

Definitely not C://Program Files....

You are welcome.

I believe you will want to save your data/input folder in your IL-2 directory.

I myself have not gone through that process so others may chime in with little better info.

hi,

when you ll have windows re installed, just check if your original BOS folder is still on your hd, I did a (supposed clean installation ) of windows 10  couples months ago and

all my desktop shortcuts was deleted but BOS installation folder was still on my SSD

so if you want to be sure  to not  waste some of GB's of your SSD....

good day !
