"Friendly AI"

Hi. I just finished flying a German escort mission in the BOK campaign and noticed that the friendly AI is still shooting over my shoulder at my target and managed to damage my A/C in the process. It seems that the AI still has a level of toxicity that has not been corrected. Has anyone else had any AI difficulties? Can this issue be corrected?

It is not only the shoulder shooting. AI does not care too much about the player, even when flying inside a formation, lets say No.3 of 4 aircrafts, No.4 won't care where you are, but stays in a certain distance to No.2. So you have to keep an eye on your squadmate behind you.

And about the shooting, the difficulty seems to be, that AI does not care about any obstacles, when shooting at an enemy. You can see it in the AARs, that pretty often the AAA destroy friendly searchlights, other AA guns, or buildings.

Yes. I have also experienced the behaviors that you mention and they don't seem to consider the human pilots presence. This AI behavior detracts from the game experience and seemingly cannot be remedied.
