All right. At the risk of going on and on about this....I was saying that I don't WANT more variants. The D28 is good. I just would like to see the DF Loop removed. So in THAT context, I actually want less. I'd like to see something removed...not added.

Don't jump to conclusions... It could be that the antenna and the DF system will be a modification that can be mounted or not on the plane. They probably just gave us an image of the plane with external additions (note also the pylons under the wing) to tease about available modifications.

That's likely very true. The loop is apparently a feature of the D-28 so if the devs are being thorough they will add it and then when we have a scenario where the P-47 and the loop fits (i.e. Okinawa) then we'll be in good shape.

That's the main reason I figure they even have it so that way it will fit in the pacific but it really shouldn't be there for europe, also the aerial is in the wrong spot, it should go to an insert next to the base of the mast not to the top of it.

The DF Loop is in the way of placing a dorsal fin as well so I'm curious if it will be a modification at all.

 

These are just nitpicking points and will in no way affect my enjoyment of flying this bird.

Here is a thing - DF loop on Thunderbolt do not fit any Pacific scenario. It doesn't fit in any scenario with exception of CBI theater of operations.

It was possible to have DF loop and dorsal fin, but I am curious too.
