Can we get a C-47!

Since the LW has a nice Ju-52 for cargo and para drops, I was thinking that we absolutely should have an allied counterpart. None makes more sense in my mind than a good old Douglas C-47!

They have talked about the Li-2. Third party perhaps.

Ahha! The Russian licenced C-47. Well good, because that would be the most logical counterpart. I'd prefer the C-47 nomenclature though. Too classic to not have it in my humble opinion!

Of course the C47 is a must have! but it the Li2 is made, the C47 would be obviously made so no worries.

I have the fact that both the Ju52 and the C47 variants will servent ALL theaters of war, even if a battle of Korea is made...

I can not wait!

I don't know how many times I have to say this but the Li2 and C47 are very different even though they look the same. Differences are the wing, cargo doors, cockpit, engines, metric instead of imperial fittings, skin thickness, landing gear and much more. 

 

The designers if the Li2 consider it a new aircraft instead of a redesign.

Since The c47 has no turrets and it is easy to find data of it, I believe it will be made somehow.

It would have be better to do a C47 directly instead of Li-2.

Li-2 work only for russian front and North Korea, C47 was used everywhere by many air force, including USSR which field mod some with turrets.

The ressources will have been better used doing a C47.

Anyway Li-2 will be mine.

This would be the equivalent of having a DC-3 in this game, which is one of my favorite old aircraft.

Interesting comments on the differences of the Li-2 and C-47. I would definitely prefer the specific C-47, but with proper modifications I'm sure you could make the convert. I think it's the perfect counterpart to the Tante.
