3.003 - skins for Bf 109 G-14 lost?

Hi,

 

I just purchased BoBP and updated to 3.003. The new Spit IX works fine in quick missions with all options and skins. But if I choose the Bf 109 G-14 all I get in the options menu is only one standard skin. I was able to fly it once but if I try to change options like additional guns the game freezes in the missions menu. Any idea what to do?

Had this problem too...I found that the Historical splash screens mod was causing the problem for me...disabled it and all was good...

If you are not using this mod try turning off the mods-on option ....if it works, then there is probably a conflict with one of  the mods you are using.

If you are not using mods-on then I am not sure what your problem might be.  Hope this helps.

Probably good advice, but I'm not sure how you do that when the game seems to update itself upon starting without (IIRC) giving you any indication that there's an update about to be installed.  I guess that's a good reason not to start the game via the launcher (as I have routinely been doing) unless you know you're trying to update (in which case, yes, it should be easy to de-activate all mods before updating, especially if using JSGME or similar mod manager).  Thanks for bringing this up - I've changed my shortcuts to start the game from Il-2.exe instead, so hopefully this won't be an issue going forward.
