Mastermariner Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 On the Logithech G940 HOTAS throttle there are eight programmable pushbuttons that can change light from green to red but only if the simulation itself commands them to do so. Can this be implemented? Master
HippyDruid Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Actually the lights have 3 colour options. Red, Orange and Green. It would be nice to have them implemented into BOS. For example when the landing gear is up it could be red. When it's moving between the up and down postion it could be orange. And finally green when it's down. I have a feeling this would be quite a minor priority for BOS though, which is fair enough, when they're still actually developing the title. However you're in luck. The same results can be achieved by using this program by MikkOwl. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Logitech-G-Controllers/Released-Manual-G940-Lights-Program/td-p/425222 This program does NOT make your G940 button lights do anything other than what you tell them in this program, when you press the specific button in question. They can't know what goes on in the game you are in or anything to that extent.
Mastermariner Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Of course its waaaaay down the line but.....” If you don’t ask you will not get!” as Ghandi said. Thanks for the tip. Will try it right away. Master
OBT-Psycho Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I think that if DeviceLink or any dialogue like this is implemented in the code of the game, we might have a work aroud this. As I don't know dev position about that sort of thing, I can't say anything but it could be great to have device link. I have all those cockpit builder in mind, they might be happy with that. BTW, In CloD, devince link has been implemented by the TF patch (I think) so it might be usable now. Mikkowl put together a nice piece of software there, but it does not communicate with the game. maybe now it can be done...
