profile settings

Has anyone used a 3rd party gaming controller to keyboard binding software. I so, are you more able to save different profiles? or maybe I'm way off here and there is a much better solution. I am having trouble with my key bindings to stay as I set them.

Not that I am aware of.  

 

After setting up your controllers and having them functioning as you desire, save a copy of your game 'input' folder. Then you can re-load it after restarting the game. I know it is clunky but at least you should have your correct controller settings.

The problem is getting out of the game to save the folder that is already quit working:)

I suggest Joytokey (free download - https://joytokey.net/en/). Download and unzip the latest version to convert keyboard input to a joystick button. 

 

Following is courtesy moosya.

 

 

• open a Joy2key
• press a button on the joystick you want to assign the combination to. The button in joy2key will 'flash' so you know which one it is
• double click the button to edit it
• there's 4 lines for assignment. They follow top to bottom approach, i.e. you can technically have a "4 button pressed" assignment in it.
• Click in top line/row with your mouse and then press Alt. You'll see ALT will be displayed there
• click on second line/row, then press Right Arrow, it'll display a little arrow in it I think..
• These 2 rows create a 'combination' or simultaneous press of 2 buttons.
• Save..

Thanks, I was looking this online thinking of downloading it. does it allow saving different profiles?

I think it does but you will probably have to select the specific one before the game session.
