Hi all !!

ive been latelaly trying to figure out how to aim to tank targets using Ju87 and the anti-tank extension guns, but when approaching the

convoys as im using the opentrack, its kind of impossible for me to make a good shoot. I have to deal with the zoom, the opentrack

movements, and the plane fly patch, so i was wondering, do you uve any aim lock to keep the pilot head in a stil position or something

like this ?

Any tips will be really welcome ;-)

Umm found an example of what i was trying to achiveve, on this video you can see that the pilot vision is really stable with the

gunsigth.

Regards

Javi

Use a snap view that is centered on the reticle. Snap views override TrackIR/OpenTrack headtracking.

Edit: or adjust the center in the headtracking software to not be so sensitive.

Ohhh many thanks, i will give it a try both options tonigth ! ;-)

Umm i was thinking that probably trackir makes the difference in that particular aspects, and probably

also my opentrack config is far from been the most tunned one. But consideting the time i have spent

on reaching the actual level of usage of my opetrack config, i prefer not to mess with the config.

Apart from that gunsigth issue, im considerably confortable with its behaviour.

With opentrack you can set up a key to lock the view aswell, thats how I do it.

I recently started to pause Track IR ,center the view with Numpad 5 and zoom in when I enter the dive. That improved my hit rate.

Can set both commands in the same throttle button.

Are too a non remappeable command: Numpad ',' plus Numpad '8' that give a fixed, zoomed gunsight view -  is need use a keymaper software for set this view in joy/throttle button, since this command is not listed in controls.

None of the crosshair wandering in that vid was due to head tracking. Aircraft out of trim and fighting the stick.

A slightly bigger deadzone in the center of opentrack is almost always needed for players new to head tracking though. Save your current profile,  adjust your settings it will treat is as a new profile.

A great start is lewis's  opentrack CloD profile. Find that in the ATAG forums.
