FlyingH Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 (edited) Did double updating of the drivers for the hog and finally after the second update (with the same newly DLed drivers) I was back in the game! Hopefully everything else is working, I´ll have to wait till tomorrow night to test. Right now I´m celebrating the World Championship Gold Medal for the swedish hockey team! As said, the Hog doesn´t respond anymore to my target script, it stops at "line 9" in the script wich says " if(Init(&EventHandle)) return 1; // declare the event handler, return on error //add initialization code here" and nothing more! I´ve reinstalled the drivers, latest, for the hog (and a few more, ie GC, audio etc) but can´t get the script to work! Has anyone a good advice to share, please! Edited May 20, 2018 by FlyingH Problem solved (I hope!)
-TBC-AeroAce Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) You have to be very careful with the hog and updates etc. Mine bricked after an update to the drivers and just flat out stopped working. I tried everything like reinstalling driver, changing ports...... old drivers.... and nothing worked. I finally gave up thinking it was broken and got a new stick. I randomly plugged it in a couple of months later and it was working fine? No idea why. If it is the script that is failing. Make sure target is up to date and if that does not work try rewrite the script. As long as you can see the buttonsand axes moving in device manager the hog is fine and there will be an error in target. If the axes are not moving it is the stick software or hardware. FlyingH Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Thanks for your responce but no it wasn´t the script failing, it was a driver issue but as I described in my edited topic it was solved.

So you reinstalled driver again or something else? Your edited post doesn't make much very clear other than you think you've solved it. Might be useful to describe how for anyone else having an issue.
FlyingH Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 I DLed new driver which by the way was the same as before, Target v3016(615v2) and installed that, restarted the rig and tested, nogo, reinstalled after removing the driver with CCleaner, restarted and Eureka, it worked! It was solved! By the way, when I started BoX, from the program exe, not the launcher, it froze at the first screen, the black one with the text "loading, please wait". I had to restart the PC with the reset button but only once! Now it´s all working as it should!
