Horsa and Wacko Goodness

Presumably the C47 will show up in game ? I mean with market garden and all, Having the Horsa and Wacko Gliders and an authentic Tug aircraft would seam a no brainer.

Unfortunately they have already said no.  The gameplay is due to take place either elsewhere or after the landings to avoid the necessity of gliders and C-47s.

 O- as it happens I just read A Bridge To Far , again, and they talked about how the Luftwaffe Mustered what passed for at the time considerable forces to intercept the Transports (and gliders), thought it would make for a  great mission type.

 

I had thought their was talk of adding the C-47 to the Eastern Map's earlier as the Russians used quiet a few of them.

I can't imagine why they would waste their time building Horsa gliders. Just to show them being pulled by C-47's? I'm sorry, but what a rediculous waste of time There are whole lot of more important airframes I can see them putting their manpower to work on, instead of gliders.

I wonder if they will make the gliders, but as static objects for the map in various states of decomposition.  The Arnhem area was full of them and it would be odd to circle over the supposed battle area and see just another flight sim Tidy Town.

I think that, as part of the scenery, that would actually look pretty cool. It would make you remember that there's a war going on down there.
