Please give us 5 waypoints for escort missions

In Campaign i always make me as commander from the beginning, only for one reason:

In escort missions, due to lack of more waypoints, the flight time to the action point is waaay too long :(

Even if you start in the air you must fly ~130 km sometimes back and forth that means 75 mins sit on your pc.

On other missions i drag the 2nd and 4 th waypoint close to the action point or the front so i start not so far away..

Mostly i delete my pilot from the roster then and let fly the escort mission by the AI.

All other missions are fine its only escort missions which have only 3 waypoints

Yeah I had an Escort mission in the last one I flew earlier today, total time of the mission was around an hour and 15 minutes or so.

Had some great combat though around the target area, I got 6 kills in my Spit ( 5 fighters and one light bomber).

 

But man those ingress and egress parts of the flight can be brutal, I use auto-level and time acceleration but on my rig about 2x is all I get - if I am lucky.

Yeah the time compression sucks balls. I love the campaign but this has put me off as I can't really play for that long.

 

It often can drop below 1 times speed if you have a load of bombers and dense front selected which is a game breaker.

On long ingress or egress missions, I generally select the autopilot after reaching altitude and set my acceleration factor  to either 4X or 8X and enjoy the scenery.

I then return to normal time at about 8-10 KM from the target or upon returning to the home field.

However, I agree some missions can be long and tedious with no time compression especially when you don't encounter any enemy activity at all and just make circles over your own forces and it does seem those circles can last forever before being cleared to RTB.   However, that may be what the situation was in a real combat scenario...
