in Berloga, I noticed, during the Armageddon-esqe shootouts with 25-30+ players the VVS doesn't pay any particular attention to this plane.   Which creates plenty of opportunities to take down as many unsuspecting yaks and la's as possible... that is IF i manage to catch them..

I shot up a couple of these beauties on Berloga earlier tonight. But then I was in an Ishak so I had my wits about me.

 

though that didn’t spare me a dozen fiery deaths...

The macchi is a fine and stylish way the learn what its like to be on the receiving end of a bf109 without having to fly Russian for sure.

The boost in the Macci is a real kick in the pants. I was very surprised the first time I used it. My personal experience has shown 12.7/.50 cal/13mm to be some of the most effective weapons in game, so it's no as under armed against enemy fighters as you would initially think. It turns well enough, climbs well enough, dives well enough, it can certainly hold it's own when flown well.
