No.54_Reddog Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 As title really. Did something change? I am getting a horizontal banded effect within the propeller disc when looking through both Spit and 109 cockpits. I don't remember this from 4.312

No.54_Reddog Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 Hmm. Will see if I had vsync enabled/disabled in 4.5 and 4.312
No.54_Reddog Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Sadly disabling VSYNC did not resolve the issue.
No.54_Reddog Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Will try next time I'm in. To be fair it might have always been like this and I just don't remember it looking this bad

To be fair it might have always been like this and I just don't remember it looking this bad Reddog, i had same annoying issue in 4.312, it completely disappeared in blitz. It was caused by vsync in my case. If you are using nvidia, try "fast" vsync option in control panel.
No.54_Reddog Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Cheers Groove. Should I have vsync on or off in game? I do have an Nvidia card but don't have a profile specifically for clod.

If it drops below that, standard vsync will half the frames and this can cause stuttering. Adaptive vsync will just switch off but this can lead to a tear line and produce uneven frames. Fast sync works best on machines that can normally render at least twice the refresh rate. Anything lower can cause uneven frame display that can look like stutter.
Mysticpuma Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 I set V-Sync on in-game and in the Nvidia option. I used to get tearing but not since setting V-Sync on.
Tibsun Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 (edited) The epileptic filter is doing a different prop animation than the normal to reduce the flickering effect, but it doesnt look nice to me. The horizontal stripe sound weird to me, maybe try deleting cache helps. And maybe verifying steam files too (delete cache after verifying). Edited May 23, 2018 by Tibsun
BOO Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 A vid snippet would allow us to see what the actual issue is (assuming you aint already fixed it)
