Emgy Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) This is the software: (direct link) http://ts3.cosaofficial.pl/opentrack/opentrack-win32-portable-2.0rc1.tar.xz (you can use 7-zip to unzip it) website: https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack Plug in your webcam and delanclip, start up opentrack, select Pointtracker as main tracker. Click the big Start button, you should see the webcam image in the opentrack window. Then click the Settings button under Pointtracker, click the Camera tab. In the Point Extraction box, set min diameter to 2 pixels, then adjust the Point Extraction slider until the Status window shows "3 points OK!" Tthis means the software is filtering out other light, and it's just tracking the clip IR points. You should also see the blue/white points in the webcam image. You may/probably need some cheap kind of filter in front of the webcam. I've taped a piece of exposed camera film, others use VHS tape or a floppy disk. That's for starters, let us know if you can get the webcam to pick up your IR clip . It should be painless, I've used my trackclip with cheap webcams. If it works, set game protocol to Freetrack 2.0, click settings, turn on the EZCA setting, and it should work in BoS, RoF, Arma and other games. Edited January 15, 2014 by Calvamos 2
Emgy Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) It should look something like this but this is in a dark room, don't worry if you can see your face and room in the webcam picture, as long as the 3 dots are detected and tracked. Edited January 15, 2014 by Calvamos 1

Creepermoss Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 That's the one downside to cheap headtracking, it does take a bit of tinkering to get it working well.

Yes, but imho it's not a huge hassle. There was a bit of text in that setup post, but really not that many clicks! Other settings: the default filter settings work well with Bos and Arma 3. (But need tweaking for some other sims.) Input/output curves do take a bit of tweaking. But you might find an online profile that works for you, at least as a basis for tweaking. Tartan, this can be copied into your opentrack settings file (in the opentrack\settings folder), delete the previous entries of these: [Curves-rx] point-count=1 point-0-x=16 point-0-y=180 [Curves-ry] point-count=1 point-0-x=12 point-0-y=90 [Curves-ry_alt] point-count=4 point-0-x=0 point-0-y=0 point-1-x=4.88888883590698 point-1-y=16 point-2-x=8.88888931274414 point-2-y=36 point-3-x=12 point-3-y=90 [Curves-rz] point-count=1 point-0-x=30 point-0-y=60 [Curves-tx] point-count=2 point-0-x=0.428571432828903 point-0-y=0 point-1-x=16 point-1-y=100 [Curves-ty] point-count=2 point-0-x=0.571428596973419 point-0-y=0 point-1-x=4.85714292526245 point-1-y=99.5 [Curves-tz] point-count=2 point-0-x=0.535714285714286 point-0-y=0 point-1-x=6.7142858505249 point-1-y=100 Edited January 23, 2014 by Calvamos
