Game hangs on loading screen? - Is the installation on your Laptop main Hard Drive?

Hi, i'm new here, i don't know if i'm posting this correctly, so excuse me if i'm doing it wrong.

 

I've purchased ClOD today in STEAM and downloaded. I am trying to start it but the game freezes on the loading screen (that one with the logo).

I've have tried to disable steam interface and nvidia too, but nothing changed. Then i tried to verify the files in steam, but it says that 1 file can't be verified so it will be downloaded again.
I proved to uninstall and install again, but nothing changes, it repeats same patterns.
 

I have W10
Intel i7-4700hq
Ram: 16Gb
Nvidia gtx860M

Any clue how to resolve it?

Ok, i made it work by changing the files of the game to my computer's main hard drive.

Your problem would appear to be a result of the install... the files are not correct.

 

1)  Have you tried exiting Steam, and then re-entering and re-validating?

 

2)  Did you previously have the original game?

 

If you did have the previous game, and ran the old CLIFFS OF DOVER game, then you should go into your:

 

Documents/1CSoftClub/ folder and re-name the 'il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover' folder there... just add a 1 to the end.

 

Then try verifying your install again.
 

3)  Did you look through the list of common issues on this Tech forum?  There are a number of issues which will cause a problem... most resulting from Steam overlays or other programs running in the background.

Hi, thank you for responding so fast,

1) I have tried, same result
2) Didn't have the original game, however, the first time i both downloaded/installed the original and the blitz version.
     I tried changing the folder name,  then verifies all the files, but the loading probem persists.

 

3) As i said, i tried to disable steam and nvidia overlays (recently i tried with windows game dvr too), and as a result i always obtein exacly the same response.
     I've been looking trhugh forums about the common issues but, it's probably my fault, cound't find any good tip to fix it.

Nvidia gtx860M

 

This indicate a laptop - CloD always have problem with Nvidia VGA 'M' series for laptop.
