bmh152abc Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 (edited) I am unable to end missions in career mode, I know this was an issue before but I couldnt find a solution anywhere. I fly with high realism, start missions from runway, fly the mission complete all objectives, land-taxi-shut down, I get the message saying successful landing (as well as objectives complete). Then i hit escape, finish mission, my aircraft disappears camera slowly pans back then it focuses on the runway, i have waited until all other aircraft have landed and disappeared and still i was stuck staring at the runway unable to complete the mission only restart. This happens very often iv started 5 careers as fighter as well as bomber, and havent be able to get past day two with out running into this issue, I have had it happen in quick mission fighter vs fighter as well. HeavyCavalrySgt Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Is there a fix for this? I have about 3 careers that won't advance because - like ground hog day - I am just flying the same mission again and again with no way to "finish" it after I land.

HeavyCavalrySgt Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 I tried the broken career fix - no joy. I have tried deleting all the careers I had running, and I was able to complete a mission. Hopefully my luck holds.

This tip, stepping the career date forward by one day, helped me in the past to get my "stuck" career going again. Have you tried the tip described in this thread? 1

Have you tried the tip described in this thread? Yes - unfortunately it didn't help. I wonder if they are the same problems; I am not getting automission failed to start - the missions start fine. They just don't end. When I hit "finish" I get a slow pan back from the aircraft, then it disappears and th view shifts, then hours can pass without the mission ever finishing. The only way out is to end the IL-2 processes and restart, and then I can refly the mission as many times as I like, but I have never been able to progress past Groundhog Day. I have ended far more careers this way than to enemy fire! 1
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Just from curiosity I let the game sit overnight - all the aircraft landed, sunset, night and sunrise came and went and the mission never finished, so I don't think it was just a matter of being impatient. 1
unreasonable Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Scratching my head over this one: the only other thing I can think of is whether the position of your plane has failed to somehow trigger the full mission finished signal. Do you taxi completely off the strip and come to a complete halt before going for "finish mission"? I always taxi off the strip and park in one of the bays, (good taxiing practice) unless I am about to be strafed by one of the annoying enemy that show up just as you are landing.

I am having the exact same problem. Two times, both careers in Moscow, one with Germans other with Russians. 1

I could fly a mission in Moscow and finish it normally. Unfortunately I just had a career get hung today. It was a good mission too! 2 IL-2s shot down and 6 I-16s destroyed on the ground.

HeavyCavalrySgt Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Blech - it happened again today on the first mission of a new career in BOS. I did manage to get 2 missions done in a HS 129 though and that career actually ended because I died! Gotta watch my altitude on strafing runs a bit more closely but killing heavy tanks with that 30mm is very satisfying. ?
