Airfield Marking Objects?

I have this dim recollection that there were some kind of airfield marking objects that show an arrow for direction in plan or perhaps it was small directional flags that exist in the 3d world.

 

Am I making this up?    We are working on a memorial and wanting to mark some start points on the map, looking for small visible objects to place as markers.
