Ansirial Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 (edited) Hi there! I would like only to share my last project: This was developed for german planes (especially Me109) and, together with keys mapped in the hotas (G940), the idea is to avoid the use of the keyboard (please note I nearly always play offline). Behind the there is a simple MJOY board where I added a simple 12 pin connector in order to switch easily between different panel, before this one the previous was "optimized" for WWI. Here some "work in progress pictures" just in case you want to do for yourself... Edited May 10, 2018 by Ansirial 2 3
xvii-Dietrich Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Very nice! What is the function of the white-red-green-yellow buttons at the top right? Is that for external views or something?

The buttons are for give orders: yellow for: attack ground targets; red for: attack air targets; green for: cover me; white for: back to home. 2 minutes ago, ITAF_Rani said: Beautiful...how mutch the prize? Some buttons are good quality items but I really don't know. I think not more that 50 € in raw materials. Edited May 10, 2018 by Ansirial 1
SCG_Schneemann Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Nice work I keep threatening to gut my throttle quadrant and one of my MSFF2' s and do exactly that - make a semi realistic control area where I know what is where instead of having to feel around by brail (I fly VR). I love the bail out button - I don't know how many times I've tried to turn my lights on for landing and blown the canopy off
MicEzo Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Is this a potentiometer on the right side? Are you able to use potentiometer as trim in aircrafts except Bf-109? Nice work btw.

The potentiometers was there before the panel, I use that axis to manage prop pitch (obviously not for the Me109), I mapped instead trim axis on the hotas. My next idea is to place that prop pitch axis on the other side applying a 3D printed lever. Edited May 12, 2018 by Ansirial

To do this you need create a script to make the potentiometer analog axis (not supported in this game for pitch, rudder and aileron trim) press keys using a 3rd part software, eg. AutoHotKey, what will be essentially what an Encoder do (press one button clockwise, another counterclockwise). So use a pot (in Bo'X) - for trim, only add unnecessary complication.
