I think for those that have already bought the above mentioned theatres and collector planes we should at least be able to use our code on Kuban or even the spitfire. It just strikes me as a little unfair that some of us have promo codes we can't use.

Any special sales prices and discount could be regarded as "unfair" towards the earlier buyers then, Petaypan.

But you can use your Promo code to make a present to someone - why not use it that way?

You could offer any friend a 40% discount on BoM or BoS ? Grow the community, so to say...

They don't want to discount a product they just released - they need to make their money back on it first. Conversely, they probably had a lot of new people buy-in on Battle of Kuban, and getting those people to buy BoM or BoS, or a few more older collector planes that have already been developed, is gravy. That's the target here. Maybe those people are unlikely to buy 'older' content at full price, but a discount can convince them to splurge.

Now, when Bodenplatte comes out I fully expect BoK, BoS and BoM and its collector planes will be discounted just before or after that release to entice new people buying Bodenplatte into going all-in on a deal and buying more than they otherwise would have. They'll probably discount the BoBp pre-order too,  think they did that with Kuban in the weeks running up to release.

The promo isn't a reward, it's an incentive. So it's not about fairness, its about getting more people to buy into the game. Just like how early access is an incentive to pre-order Bodenplatte.

As an example, I was fully prepared to wait for BoBp before buying any BoX games, just for the sake of my budget. But then there was a fantastic sale for 75% off on BoS and 50% off on BoM (or something crazy like that). I snapped those two games up immediately, because the deal was just too good. Now, was that 'fair' to everyone who bought BoS and BoM at full price? Maybe not, but the devs sold two games they wouldn't have sold otherwise and I'm happily toodling around in my I-16 whenever I can so obviously the system works.

I just discovered this sim today and created an account 5/16/18.  There is currently nothing in my promo code section.  Is there a way I could get a promo code retroactively before the deadline of 5/20/18?  I am very excited to try this beautiful flight sim/game.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the codes are a gift to people that had previously purchased a module.  Maybe someone can clarify this.

ive used mine but surely there may be someone who hasn't used their code can PM Maxwedge with theirs if they aren't going to use it.

Hello, good pilots. Here is my situation, I'm hoping to get a response:

 

1. I want to get into IL-2, so during the last Christmas sale I purchased everything available on steam - BoS, BoM, all the steam collector planes, even Cliffs of Dover

2. I am still a couple weeks away from the upgrade that would let me play the game comfortably, so those purchases were an investment - I haven't installed anything yet.

3. Since I've never installed any of the modules, I didn't have an account set up here at il2sturmovik.com until today.

4. I saw a notice on steam about the 40% off code and would love to grab some more content, but since I just set up a new account, I don't have the code.

 

Here is my request: Is there any way to get me a new 40% Off code that I can use before the 20th? If I can get a code, I would purchase some new collector's places and modules that I might not otherwise, so I see it as a win for the devs!

 

Thank you for making this amazing game and for the great community, I hope to hear back from you - let me know anything I can do to facilitate receiving a code.

Same thing has happened to me..couldn't make my payment and when I retried it's telling me my codes been used.

If it's possible could I get a code reset Devs?
