ATA_Vasilij Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Hi all, Having some trouble with Il2, and wanted to hear if someone of you has also such issues, or is it just my pc problem. 1. I dont start game via Steam, but just through the IL2.exe shortcut. It runs both the game and the steam VR. For the first time I dont have a sound in game. I must Close the il2 window by Alt+F4, and then run it again. Now, for the second try is everything ok with sound. 2. I made total reinstall of windows10 and fresh instalation of IL2Bos, and it seems that I cannot turn off the ASW. Weird effects on propeller or wing still present even I pressed Ctrl+numpad1. I also turned off settings in steam VR for all the asynchronous... Before reinstalling I was possible turn off ASW, game was running smother and nicer. Any help? 3. When playing for longer time (2-3 hours and maps are rolling) I have sound errors. Some sound disappear, somtimes I lost sound totaly. Must restart the game to fix it. 4. Game is lagging and flickering Even I change in graphic settings whatever. nothing helps, when more contacts on maps (20-25) fps gets down and its far away from smooth running. (Ryzen 5 1600, 2x RX580 in crossfire, SSD, I guess HW is very sufficient) 5. when pressing tab for player list on MP, it is flickering each time when new data are reloading. 6. Sometimes when map changes I get black square instead of look into the map, and must restart the game. ( When I start very quickly the plane, and I am not in the cockpit but game runs(according the sound) must press to spectate to get into plane. its ok, but when I need to respawn for the second time, the game is again black square and must restart.) Sometimes got the black square also when was in t34 and then wanted to change into the plane. Switching planes and going into armory settings makes problems. 7.Textures on planes. If I switch to external camera, plane firstly appears in default skin, and after ±1s it turns into the skin I have chosen. very annoying. 8. When changing the external views on the planes, and then going into the cockpit, the textures on the panels are blurred and in very low resolutions. It fixes again few moments later... seems the pc is not quite fast to draw everything. Questions are: Was the downgrade to the 3,001 really so much Hardware demanding that my pc is not enough???? Or do you have also these issus and I am not alone.? Thank you.
Lemon Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 hi, wish I can help I d check inside the device manager your sound devices, very common to have more than one sound driver and sound controller activated, realteck ,intel and nvdia mostly. I had crashes and map glitches (map was all red ) some time to time before I disable this (red arrows) (no uninstall just disable cause window can re installed it) Spoiler 1
ATA_Vasilij Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 hmm, didnt help. I disabled all others sound sources and points 1 and point 3 still occurs. Concerning point 4. It seem to be better after complete reinstalling of graphic drivers. (Must separate the second card when installing drivers) and after succesful installing to only one card, again rejoin the second card. (I got PC restarts or crashes when was trying to install drivers when both cards were ON).

Or do you have also these issus and I am not alone.? Thank you. Update: 1) It helps when I launch the game not immediately after start up PC, but when I wait a minute . Then the game also starts with sound. Weird but it works. 2) was solved by fully reinstalling of graphic drivers (already described above) 3) still occurs 4) see point 2 5) it is the game issue, not of my pc 6) was solved by update 3.003 7) seems to be better When I turn ON 4k textures.... but still occurs, depends on map and amount of planes... 8 ) Its better to not change the camera often.
