The FM is based upon the Cub. It's a Cub from stem to stern, period. They simply don't have the money to officially license the design, so they made a manufacturer up. But it's a Piper Cub.

That is good to hear. In principle, I like the idea of the sim very much. If they can perfect the looks and feel, such to differentiate it from the competition, that would be great. I think if they can have that AND deliver 100 FPS or so on average computers, then you even have a great proposition for VR. With those looks.. must be truly awesome. P3D has nowhere the looks when you keep it such that it gives these FPS and FS2020 probably can‘t either. It could find its market that way.

Their problem remains that their community communication is horrendous (nonexistent), their dates are never met, and they seem ambivalent with regards to building any sort of hype.

It really looks like someone trying to do what he always dreamed of, and trying to achieve it no matter what. You‘ll never hit deadlines like that and neither is it obvious what it really will be until you have it in your hands. Kinda a CloD approach in project management. I do honestly wish them luck though. I‘d love to have some variety in the flightsim landscape than just IL2, DCS and (eventually) FS2020. P3D is actually a different market. As for XP... they would really have to find their way around FS2020.
